Ulysses Failey: I think the Japanese spend more per capita on weddings than anyone else in the world.As for failing in the USA? I would say that it is because no one wants to grow up and be an adult. Mom and dad raised brats that never had to be truly responsible and it goes over into marriage. When both partners have tantrums bad things are bound to happen.
Coleman Ocegueda: Our society has changed the structure of marriage to little more than a business contract, that can be terminated for any reason. Separate bank accounts, diferrent surnames, prenuptual agreements etc.. Another facet of our disposable society. Oddly enough, in societies where marriages are arranged at birth, the spousal abuse and divorce rates are much lower.This is my serious answer ! for the day....Show more
Terrell Voltz: 1.Shallow characteristics2.Dating (Ya, I know it sounds like there's no alternative.But kids as young as 8 start going on real dattes. They don't know anyhting about personality just choosing guys based on looks. Big surprise they break up. The girl goes out with guy after guy with no commitment not to mention she'd been choosing mates based on looks for so long she doesn't know how to choose based on anything else.)3.BReak down of religion they see no point in staying with one person. Not to mention their not use to it. 4.Selffish desires definetely marrying to make your kids look a certain way or even for better sex5. Azalee Ahrendes: Weddings are indeed too flashy, but I don't know if we have the worst marriages in the world. The divorce rate in others countries, especially European countries, has gotten pretty high as well.
Rachal Osaki: Every person I know who has spent a large amount of money on a wedding/reception/dress/rings/etc. is divorced. I know four or five people like this, and they were all divorced within a few years of marriage.My husband and I were married at the Justice of the Peace, rented a hall for our reception, went to Niagara Falls on our honeymoon, and 2 kids and nearly 5 years later, we're doing pretty good. :)...Show more

Nadia Crauswell: My sister has had 4 weddings and 4 divorces.Her first wedding was a big one.I got married in Las Vegas by a Justice of the Peace back in 1978. I am still married to! the same person and hope to stay that way till my end.People have to learn to share even when it's hard to do so. You have to give and take to stay married.Sometimes one person has to give more than the other.It all evens out in the end....Show more
