Doreatha Kjellsen: OK, i am a vegetarian, and am looking for a veggie patty (Veggie whopper at Burger king) that tastes the same as the subway and burger king ones. I have already tried morning star. Its pretty good, but the price for it is horrific. I have also tried "boca burger" but its is horrible. Please give me a good suggestion for a veggie patty that fits these circumstances. Thank you. :)
Gennie Shauer: Celery.
Wilfredo Muldoon: fertilized eggs are not vegetarian, but unfertilized eggs are.
Porfirio Cahall: Tomatoes sprinkled with a little salt n pepper...
Dedra Furguson: As far as I know..Burger King uses Morningstar brand. Do you have a super walmart near by? They sell Morningstar for $3.35.
Isreal Kochheiser: If you like him, than go for him. It shouldn't matter what he eats, unless it seriously bothers you. It shouldn't. Being vegan, or any kind of vegetarian is about choice.
An Trebil: The original definition of the E! nglish word "vegetarian" (invented in 1847) included eggs and dairy in the diet. However, vegetarians in India don't consider eggs vegetarian but they use dairy; they were vegetairian before there was an English word for it. Personally, I don't eat eggs; I was influenced by Hindu ideas and my wife is Hindu.Vegan, of course, don't eat eggs or dairy....Show more
Logan Bero: What do you mean?Vegetarians do eat eggs, vegans do not.But even though being vegetarian is an incredibly great thing to be, by being abstant of meat and decreasing cattle slaughter, by consuming eggs you are supporting the meat industry, that also kills the chickens when they are no longer are fertile. :/But anyway, better that than not being one =)namaste...Show more
Emile Okafor: How about salad, lettuce tomatoes cucumber spring onions all sound good to me
Randa Hessell: Vegetarians eat eggs and dairy, but no meat, poultry or seafood. Vegans dont eat eggs or any dairy.
Cedric Gri! mstead: Eggs are typically not fertilised, so they're not and ! will never be chicks.I think in Eastern religions they're considered non-veg.Personally, I don't eat them. But they are usually considered vegetarian.
Rodolfo Merel: Firstly, it's not a vegetable and If I think I know what you really want to ask I think it depends on why you adopt vegetarianism. If you're a vegetarian because you want to practice a plant based diet, than i think its not vegetarian. But if you're vegetarian because you are against the killing of animals for food than well that just depends on whether you believe the egg is really a living animal or not. if not i guess you can call it vegetarian.
Noah Deni: People really like to label themselves. You should pick your diet based on what YOU feel is right to eat, not on what some label says you can or cannot eat.
Becky Mosena: Macaroni! Ok, it's a grain product, but as long as you are eating dairy and eggs, make a from-scratch absolutely yummified macaroni and cheese. Sure, it takes a little! time to make and to bake, but you will be welllll rewarded for your patience. Get a recipe from www.cooks.com for this. It's a recipe-sharing site where all the recipes are submitted by regular people who use them and love them. Test-kitchen chefs are your best source for some types of recipes, but not for classics like this. You really want somebody's Aunt Emma's locally famous macaroni and cheese recipe.
Julee Lanham: Depend what type of vegetarian.
Kenneth Blacker: we are both young, sixteen. i know i am not making any life changing choices. we have been friends for a long time and recently we have begun to spend more alone time together. we have established that we like each other, the next step is a relationship. i am curious to other vegan/vegetarians opinions on the matter. think it would be bad?
Boyce Gilhooly: My husband is a vegetarian-- I am not. . .it's not a big deal.
Cliff Jacoby: You do realise that eggs and cheese can come ! from less humane sources than meat, for example, you could buy cheese t! hat has been produced from factory reared cows and you could buy beef that has been sourced from free range cows. And you do realise that the cows used to make the cheese are eventually slaughtered anyway.
Avis Brantner: They actually sell the exact veggie patty from subway and burger king at the grocery store. It is made by Morningstar
Jannette Kotz: while eggs, when unfertilised, may be thought of as vegetarian as a product alone, they are probably not suitable for people who are vegetarians for compassionate reasons. the reason being that egg production is most often linked to factory farmed hens who are forced to live out their short and painful lives in terribly cramped battery cages. once they stop producing eggs, they're sent for slaughter. as chicks, they will often have their beaks trimmed painfully to keep them from pecking each other. male chicks (roughly about half) born in an egg production facility are likely to be killed since they will not give ! eggs....Show more
Aldo Decurtis: Well... Technically, no... It isn't. Kinda hard to explain. :S Sorry. I'll try later, okay?
Randolph Lozoya: No eggs are an animal by product. It is my understanding that a dedicated vegetarian will eat nothing from animals or wear any products made from animals. Then are are those who will eat animals products that don't involve the killing of the animal such as dairy & eggs. Then there are those who wont eat mammals allowing fish . Guess it just depends on who you talk to.
Hobert Dula: if you are vegan for "animal rights" purposes and he isn't i could see it being a problem.
Lanita Reichman: it depends on the individual vegetariantechnicaly , yes you can eat eggs as a vege, but, not all do, because they see it as a possible life, kinda the same way pro life peopel do with abortions
Claude Gloden: if it makes you unconfortable it might not be a good idea. but maybe if you speak your truth and tell the nonvegan ! how you feel about eating animals and why your vegan maybe that person ! will understand and follow you, but you just can´t force this other person to be vegan.
Becky Mosena: If I were you I would look at my being a vegetarian as an opportunity to try making a lot dishes with vegetables, fruits and grain.
Eldridge Rieves: it depends on why you are a vegan...if it is for the poor innocent animas of the world being harmed, i think that it wouldnt work out
Ulrike Hert: Burger King uses a Morning Star burger, the garden veggie patty, as their vegetarian burger. I do not eat veggie burgers too much, but when I do buy them I wait for them to go on sale. If you really like them, then simply wait for a sale and then buy a few boxes. One box of veggie burgers is still cheaper than going to Burger King.
Glynda Darrin: Unless you consider your eating habits a religion, I don't see how it should affect things.
Reyes Brunell: Is the person trustworthy? Are they honest? Are they someone that isn't going to lie and manipulate s! ituations, cause problems? You already state that your not making a "life changing choices". So - if you can trust the person and actually have faith in who and what they actually are and the relationship has been one of unbroken trust - shouldn't be a problem.
Ron Keliipio: I also want to add that many vegetarians only consume "Vegetarian Eggs" meaning the chickens that produce the eggs consume a strict vegetarian diet. These eggs will be clearly marked in the the dairy section of your store, and are more expensive than a regular egg.
Monty Sieloff: When a person's diet starts interfering with a relationship, it's time to rethink things. Don't choose a bf based upon what he eats. You will miss a lot of opportunities that way
Buster Exline: yes the egg is infertile so it is part of lacto-ovo vegetarians diets.
Norine Lomonte: If I were you I would go for it. My husband and I are both vegan, but when we met each other he was a vegetarian and I wa! s not.If my husband had decided not to date me because I was not a vege! tarian, we would have never grown to love each other. In the past year I have become vegan. Then 2 months ago he went vegan too. Who knows, maybe you will rub off on him:)Good luck and I hope you two are happy together:)
Isaias Badgley: As has been mentioned before, eggs have not been fertilized. They would never become a chick. Chickens lay eggs without a rooster around. We have our own chickens and only eat free range eggs. We do not eat dairy. We are ovo-vegetarians.
Gregory Dilg: sprouted bread is healthy a Piece of fruit and any vegetable of your choosing.
Sheron Perrez: I'm trying to eat less meat and more humane sources of protein like cheese and eggs, I want to replace meat a few times a week with authentic cheeses, but I'm not sure what to include as a side item.
Kim Gerbino: I had 2 today, forgot the brand. It's really good, actually. I think it's Lightlife or something... but don't eat at burger king even though it's a veggieburger! . They cook their burgers with the veggieburgers... but whatever floats your boat.
Andre Winegar: i thought they weren't vegetarian because they come from animals.
Troy Staton: I'm a vegan, my husband is an omnivore. Diet isn't identity. It's just a part.
Corrina Faro: I know..I am debating if to stop eating eggs or not. I will basically give up everything in the Dominican diet. I guess I can stop and when they make cake and stuff like that make an exception. I still drink milk and and eat cheese. I dont live alone nor work so I cant make changes like that all of a sudden. so overall, I dont think they are vegetarian because you are basically eating a baby chick. so sad....Show more
Jackelyn Archut: Depends on the vegetarian. Most vegetarians eat dairy and eggs. Some even eat seafood. Vegans don't eat any animals or animal by products such as dairy or eggs. But it is a personal choice. The argument is that vegetarians don't eat meat and since ! eggs are not considered meat because they are unfertilized they are usu! ally considered vegetarian.
