Boat Building And Physics?

Justin Casten: Wrap it in aluminum foil.

Dalila Yoon: Try using wood glue. You could also spread the glue on the outside of the cork to help make it stronger. Good Luck!

Hai Biggart: You didn't say what size this boat is. I am guessing it is a small model boat. You can glue the boat together using a glue called gorilla glue. You can buy it at Lowes or any hardware, comes in a small plastic bottle. Seal any seams with silicone sealer. Use an enamel spray, and seal the boat with paint. The boat will automatically float if it is made of cork. You really don't need seal the boat.

Cole Desher: I second the gorilla glue idea. Wipe the cork with a damp cloth before you apply gorilla glue. The glue will travel wherever the water goes (it's in the directions).Have your material securely clamped until the glue fully cures.Gorilla glue, as a co-worker describes it, is 'expando-commando'.
