Montessori Preschool?

Clifford Riggleman: Montessori Pre-School is awesome! Highly recommended by me! Send her! If I was you I'd have sent her at 18 months (that's when they start here) but if you need to wait until she's 3 then so be it. It's excellent.

Beau Starcevic: i dont have much experience with that specifically because i didnt have a child back then .but what i can say is that when i was in school, if u had good grades you they let u help with the montessori kids. & what i can say is that it helps children socialize and talk and they do alot of exercises where they make them think. they let them use puzzles and things like that, i would love to put my baby in montessori when he gets to that age because it can truly help them alot....Show more

Jon Bergmeier: Not a parent of a Montessori kid, but my mom sent me to Montessori, and I loved it. I learned to read and write at an advanced rate, and the hands-on approach to math helped me learn long division, fractions, addition ! and subtraction, all before third grade. I never liked my times tables, though, so I never did learn those. We had science lessons, too, although the only one I remember is when we were learning about soil and worms, and the teachers took us all out as a group to teach us a hands-on lesson on the play yard lawn, and we talked about how worms eat the soil and enrich it. My parents didn't have the money to keep me in after second grade, so I went to public school from third on. My teacher was frustrated because the class was learning cursive and I already knew it. Had I tested before they upped the requirements, I would have qualified for GT (gifted and talented) and had accelerated lessons in the public school district's GT program. But I didn't, and that's fine. The Montessori school said I needed to mature an extra year before going to school (probably more of a social and attention-span thing), so I didn't go to preschool, but they accepted me for kindergarten. They! also did the proper tests to check that students were progres! sing throughout the year. Make sure that the school you're looking into is properly certified and has good testing rates. Take a tour of the facilities and interview the teachers. There are some high quality private schools out there, and then there are some low quality ones, and you want to make sure that you've got a good one....Show more

Armando Somes: Yes! Montessori pre-school! Highly recommended! In Montessori schools, your child learns much, much more than in normal schools, and has a much, much funner time learning than in normal schools. I know a Montessori school called Oak Grove Montessori, located in Mansfield, CT. You can check them out! That's the Montessori school that I used to go to. It's awesome! You should plan a visit there or something. Oak Grove is a very gentle school, and- you can check their video out on YouTube, too! Have fun!...Show more
